• Color Walk 4 Map Revealed in JUMP

Color Walk 4 hasn’t been released yet but you can see the map now! A small preview was published in this week’s issue of JUMP. I’ve also included a ruthlessly tiny image of the full EAGLE cover. It’s one of the stickers that will be available in the release printings.

  • The Spring of Trivia Collaborates With One Piece!

Is it the greatest news ever or the greatest news evar?

After more than two years off the air, The Spring of Trivia will be returning with a TV special on the 27th of February! For those of you that don’t know, The Spring of Trivia is the greatest Japanese variety show ever created according to me.

What’s more is the TV special (one that promises to have set some kind of new Guiness World Record) is having a special tie-in with One Piece via the opening that unites the ‘Trivia Family’ trio of hosts with at least One Piece character, Luffy!

Airing on the same Fuji Television network, One Piece author Eiichiro Oda has collaborated with the program in the past but this is the first time his characters will be featured interacting with the hosts.

    Amazing.

edit:You may notice there is a post similar to mine below this. That’s just how incredible this news is. If we didn’t break it up over two posts the site would have exploded covering us in a warm liquid gel-like substance. We do this only for your safety.

  • New Trivia no Izumi + Luffy = WIN

Trivia no Izumi is back with another special! After 27 months of torture and longing, the wait is over! What makes this even better? Luffy will be in the animated intro! As a HUGE fan of the show, I cannot wait!

If you don’t know what Trivia no Izumi is, it is a fantastic show.
Check out this example, or this one, or this one… you get the picture, it is a fun fun show!

  • One Piece “Mallows”

There is an image of what I am hoping are rushed prototypes for the Mallows. These are just drawings and not even the actual thing yet, but I stress, I hope it is rushed. Notice how it says “Zorro” instead of Zoro. Also, notice how they say One Piece Series 1, so expect more in the future if these do well.

Looks like the first set will include Luffy, Nami and “Zorro.” I am surprised they aren’t going with cash-cow Chopper as well, though there can be more to the set that we just don’t know about.

  • One Piece Anime Theme Park

    Hi guys,

I just got a heads-up from a friend that the Laguna Gamagori will host a theme park attraction from March 20 to June 27, One Piece style! It’ll be recreating the adventures that the Straw Hat Pirates have experienced up until this point. Check out the sources below for a flier about the event. So if you’re in Japan and happen to be near or in the Aichi prefecture, head to Gamagori City during that time!

  • Daisuke Gouri Passes Away

Anime News Network reports that actor Daisuke Gouri passed away in Tokyo on Sunday. This is a monumental loss for the Anime community, and we pass our regards on to his loved ones.

The Tokyo Shimbun paper reports that Daisuke Gouri, the voice actor best known for playing Robin Mask in the Kinnikuman television anime series as well as Umigame and Mr. Satan in the Dragon Ball franchise, has passed away in Tokyo on Sunday. He was 57. The actor, whose real name was Yoshio Nagahori, also played Dozle Zabi and Bask Om in the Gundam franchise, Hiromi Yamazaki in Patlabor, Heihachi Mishima in Tekken, Edge Master in the Soul Calibur videogame, and the Japanese Yosemite Sam in Looney Tunes.

The newspaper reports that Gouri was discovered, with blood dripping from his wrist, by a passerby on a street in Nakano ward. Police officers at Nakano station are investigating his death as a possible suicide. According to the authorities, Gouri apparently collapsed face-down onto the street at about 3:00 p.m. The Yomiuri Shimbun paper adds that a knife was found under him along with a last will nearby.

Daisuke Gouri was known in One Piece for his recent role as Jimbei as well as Dorry, Rockstar, and some major roles in One Piece Movies.

NOTE: We will be adding members to this staff to make sure news stories come out promptly in the future.
